Never Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth!

Gifting can be complicated, expensive and stressful.  Expectation from most guests is that they will bring you a gift to help celebrate your marriage.  Times have changed and you are no longer wanting the full 36 piece crockery set for your house set up – you instead may have a range of ideas of new things you have been eyeing up or a holiday on the horizon.

Share your thoughts early with your guests to remove the stress from them.  If you are having a gift list ensure you share the website as early as you possibly can so that there is plenty of time for people to look more than twice.

Make sure you put some time into your post wedding days to look at gifts and cards and acknowledge that you received the item that someone may have put a lot of thought into. If you are to send thankyou cards do you have addresses or will it be an e-card?

Top Tip : You may ask for wedding gifts from a registry to be delivered to your home prior to the wedding so that you can thank people in person.
